~ Gamification : What about Assessment? ~

 

Synopsis:

Research findings have consistently shown that teachers’ and students’ perceptions of their learning environment has significant impact on how learners learn. This session will discuss how learning environments should leverage on the technological affordances to foster the practice and the development of self-regulated learning through gamification. Pedagogically sound practices can be gamified to help achieve learning outcomes including addressing questions like assessment for learning and whether flipped classrooms work.
